Whoa... an update?

Hmm... I haven't posted here since last year, oops... I'm bad at blogging I guess...

I'm only in one game now on Saturday nights, DMing some 4e in a world of my, and my players, own construction. There's been some time travel and I'm using prophecy as a trope and massive vaguely identifiable malevolent forces as antagonists. I've grown to dislike 4e combat more and more over time. We did do some pretty cool meta action skill challenges over the summer. I've got some swamp lizard encounters to plan coming, eppur si muove I guess.

I've been playing a lot of Disc Golf recently. After I was hospitalized several months back with Congestive Heart Failure I saw looking for some activities to get me moving about more and a couple of my friends got me started. In the beginning I could only do a couple holes, maybe walk around for 1/2 an hour, tops. I'm playing all 18 at a good pace these days. Not quite ready to do 24 or 27 holes in one go yet and I'm getting 5s on most holes still, but I'm having fun.

I've lost over 100lbs at this point just with changing my diet and playing DG. There's a whole bunch of world class courses around my home. Highland Park is the closest so I go there most often. Jon, the shop Pro over at Aces and Chains has been really helpful and most of the people I meet on the course are pretty cool.

Kodette's goblin alter ego. 

Online I'm on Reddit pretty much daily and Google+ is where I want to be for social networking. I keep getting dragged back to Facebook, against my will, sometimes.

I bought the latest WoW expansion, Cataclysm, and leveled Kodette to the cap. I'm not impressed with the dungeons this time around, they're not nearly as much fun as Wrath of the Lich King was. My roommate and ex-roommate conspired to get me to roll a a Horde toon on Illidan.

I feel Blizzard completely failed on their promise to give us more options in the new talent tree system, for my mages at least. I really wanted to be able to choose some fun utility talents but nope my spec is pretty much locked in as a cookie cutter build to get the most dps.

Anyways, that's enough for now.
